the Quireboys Interview


GB: You were formed back in the 80’s. After 25 years, how much is changed?
The business has changed a lot. The internet especially luckily all our clothes have come back in fashion and rock n roll will never be out of fashion so things are still pretty good.


GB: If you had the opportunity of travelling back in time. What would have been the one thing you were going to change?

Blyth Spartens would have beaten Wrexham and Kevin Keegan would still be at Newcastle United.


GB: What’s the connection with Dog’s D’amour?
We go way back with the Dogs and I have just recorded an album with Tyler 'Flagrently Acousticly Electrically yours.


GB: From all the bands you have played with which one you had the greatest fun and why?
Rolling Stones - no competition.


GB:Some years ago, I was in Italy for vacation and I went to “Gods Of Metal” fest. I experienced for the first time a Quireboys show and I have to say that it was one of the most energetic shows I’ve watched. What keeps the “thing” rolling?
It keeps rolling because we love the music we love touring and the fans still come to the shows and still keep buying the records.


GB:What can we expect from Quireboys in the future?
We have a very busy year planned we will be releasing a covers album with collaborations from established artists and we will be recording a new original album plus plenty of touring.


GB:
What has been the main influence for Quireboys?
The Rolling Stones have always been No 1 for us.


GB:Is there any new band that can make any difference?
Planet of Women, our support act on our latest UK Tour.


GB:
Do you know anything about Greece? You have a lot of fans here that would like to see you live.
Paul always goes on holiday to Greece he loves your country, we would like to come and play live there.


GB:Favourite movie, book.
Movie - Cabaret, Book - Da Vinci Code


GB: Are you writing new material for the next album?
We are always jamming new ideas in soundcheck.


GB:Is it going to be in the same vain like “Well Oiled”?
We are thinking of a bigger production on the next album but nothing has been finalised yet.
